If you hate me, leave me be

Please don’t say,
Those things to me.
If you hate me,
Leave me be.

Every single time I make,
A simple little mistake,
It seems you have to tell me,
How stupid I can be.

If I gain a pound,
You drag me to the ground,
And tell me I’m a hog;
As lazy as a log.

If I trip and fall,
You laugh at me, that’s all.
You never offer me a hand,
And lift me up to stand.

I love you, and I let it show,
And in return, you want to go.
If you fall, I’m there for you,
And in return, I sicken you.

Your words, they cut, and tear,
Breaking my heart, without a care.
So much, I’m crying out inside,
To run from you and hide.

For me, it’s not so easy;
Never flippant, never breezy;
To rip your heart asunder,
And try to drag you under.

So please don’t say,
Those things to me.
If you hate me,
Leave me be.
